Happy July 4th. I was going through photos and came upon this shot I took years ago while skiing on July 4 in Alpine Meadows. The bear ran across Alpine Bowl just above Roundhouse. The man just in front is wearing the shirt they gave that year to the first 1000 skiers. Every once in awhile, we get the opportunity to ski on the 4th. And if we are lucky we get to see a bear. Rarely do we get to have both.
