Dollar Point, named after the wealthy lumber baron and philanthropist Robert Dollar, is considered one of North Lake Tahoe’s premier neighborhoods. Located just east of Tahoe City, this highly desirable community consists of approximately 600 homes (39 of which are lakefront properties) enjoys lakefront amenities with sandy beach, pier and buoy field, as well as tennis courts and a large swimming pool. Dollar Point HOA has an annual fee of under $900. Most properties are members of Dollar Point Homeowners Association, but if not owners may join with an initiation fee of around $25,000.
Close to world-class skiing at Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows ski resorts, Tahoe X-C across the street, Tahoe City and Carnelian Bay an easy drive, Dollar Point is centrally located for winter and summer recreation and convenient to commercial centers.

The Highlands neighborhood is located across from Dollar Point with a distinctly suburban feel due to its layout and many residents live here year round. Behind the Highlands is Tahoe X-C center.

Dollar Hill Condominiums I & II are two separate condo complexes located on Dollar Hill near the Dollar Point neighborhood. Dollar Hill I is a small complex of 21 units on the lakeside of Hwy 28. Dollar Hill II is closer to Tahoe City on the opposite side of the street and has approximately 95 units. Dollar Hill II condo owners enjoy amenities which include a seasonal heated pool, outdoor in-ground hot tub, two tennis courts, sauna, and a clubhouse.
